Gulfstar Standard Design

Audubon Engineering Solutions provided topsides engineering support and modifications to Williams’ proposed Gulfstar Standard Design, a spar-based floating production system. Additional services included conceptual design, front-end engineering design (FEED), and project management. The Gulfstar Standard Design is a classic spar hull with traditional three-level topsides. Its design is based off of the Gulfstar 1, the first spar-based FPS with major components built in the U.S.

NGL Storage Facility

Location: Brazoria County, TX
Client: A Major Oil & Gas Manufacturing and Logistics Company

Audubon Engineering Solutions’ scope of work included process design and engineering  for the facility’s topsides, Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimating, P&IDs, and PHA and LOPA reviews. Additional services included performing a Front-end Engineering Design (FEED) study to determine the scope of work and EPC schedule, and risk register for the entire project. Completion on the 7.5 MMbbl NGL storage project was accelerated and completed within 12 months.

Bayamon Products Terminal

Location: Bayamon, Puerto Rico
Client: Puma Energy Caribe, LLC

Audubon Engineering Solutions performed multidiscipline engineering design for Phase I of a 4 million barrel storage terminal. The design included storage tanks, piping and pumping systems, fire protection, and support services. Audubon Engineering Solutions designed the truck loading facility and pipeline connections to connect the storage facility to a marine terminal. The Audubon Engineering Solutions team was based in Covington and Metairie, Louisiana and closely coordinated with on-site contractors in Puerto Rico to successfully execute design interface and maintain schedule.

Explorer Irving Station: Pipeline Installation Services

Audubon Field Solutions provided pipeline installation services for the Explorer Irving Station project. The project scope included topographic and boundary surveying, permitting, right of way acquisition, construction staking, pipe tally and weld mapping, and as-built surveying. The 2,220 foot pipeline connects from the Explorer Irving Station to a major exploration and production company facility. Completed with a critical path approach, the successful project was performed on time and within budget.

Vermillion 272A Platform Design

Audubon Engineering Solutions provided engineering, design, procurement, and project support services for LLOG Exploration Co.’s Vermillion 272A platform. The facility serves as an area hub and processing facility for a group of platforms in the Vermillion Bay area. It was designed to serve as the local host for three separate drilling centers and handles 100MMscf/d of natural gas and 5,000 bbl of oil.

Mandy Development/Matterhorn Tension-Leg Platform

Location: Gulf of Mexico (GOM), MC-199 and MC-243
Client: LLOG Exploration & W&T Offshore

Audubon Engineering Solutions provided topsides engineering support and modifications to W&T Offshore’s Matterhorn TLP production system and integrated the system with LLOG Exploration’s Mandy development and topsides equipment. Topsides facilities modifications were completed to receive, separate, and meter Mandy production prior to commingling with existing Matterhorn production. Our engineering, design, and installation services supported two risers to tie back three Mandy wells that were combined into a 4-slot subsea manifold prior to flowing to the Matterhorn TLP.

Walker Ridge Gathering System: Integrated Topsides Facility

Audubon Engineering Solutions’ scope of work included the detailed engineering for the topsides facilities, structural design of the module, local platform verification, pipeline interface, process automation, platform piping, electrical and utility interconnects. Additional services involved overseeing the project management through startup. Audubon Engineering Solutions also provided the Front-end Engineering Design (FEED), procurement and construction support as well as startup and commissioning. Our staff also oversaw measurement, compression, gas dehydration and motor control center (MCC)/control building for a new multi-level process module.

Beckville Plant: Cryogenic Processing Plant

Client: Midcoast Energy Partners, LP, an Enbridge Company

Audubon Field Solutions provided technical writing services for commissioning and startup procedures as well as operating procedures for the Beckville Plant. Initially, the project began with a commissioning manager, I&E technician, and a junior commissioning technician provided by Audubon Field Solutions. The scope of work also included the management of third-party personnel, schedule coordination, communications, and procurement of third-party work.

Audubon Engineering Solutions supported engineering efforts in several disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.

Permian Express II Pipeline Construction Inspection

Location: Colorado City, TX to Corsicana, TX
Client: Sunoco Logistics Partners, LP

Audubon Field Solutions performed the construction inspection for the Permian Express II project.The scope of work also included personnel management services to provide a team of inspectors, consisting of 15 utility inspectors, 16 certified welding inspectors, 3 NACE inspectors, one I&E inspector, and one systems management supervisor for each spread. This project consists of five spreads (approximately 60 to 80 miles) that are 20” and 24” pipe lay, including a pig trap station and valve sites for a total of 340 miles. The project will begin in Garden City, TX as a 20” pipeline and run to Sunoco Logistics’ tank terminal in Colorado City, TX. The pipeline will then run as 24” to Sunoco Logistics’ tank facility in Corsicana, TX.

Pecos Platform Project Management and Inspection

Location: Pecan Island Field, Vermillion Parish, Louisiana
Client: Freeport-McMoRan

Audubon Field Solutions performed project and construction management, coating inspections, and I&E inspections on the Pecos platform, a single-level 48′ caisson deck with a heliport. The facility was engineered to flow 15 MMSCFD and manage 400 barrels of condensate. The scope of work also included procurement and cost tracking on all phases of the project. The team installed a 6″ pipeline, running from Pecos to Harvest SL-3763. Audubon Field Solutions added a new separator on the Harvest platform to manage production from the Pecos platform and oversaw the offshore installation of the separator, pipeline, caisson deck, and helideck.

Longhorn/Appaloosa Facilities: Subsea Tieback of Wells

Location: Gulf of Mexico (GOM), MC-365A

Our services included project management, procurement, engineering and design, automation, equipment inspection and construction management. Structural analysis was performed to verify the platform’s sustainability for the intended field development. Additional work included the interface between topsides and subsea wells, including support for HPU and TUTA and automation links between the topsides and subsea controls programming. With Audubon Field Solutions, we provided the decommissioning of the existing production module and construction management for onshore and offshore activities.

Black Bay Facility Central Field Redevelopment

Corvina CX-15 Development: Drilling and Production Platform

Audubon Engineering Solutions provided multidisciplinary engineering design for the Corvina CX-15 drilling and production platform’s three-level topsides. Our topsides drafting/design team utilized PIERS™ conceptual methodology to explore six block development options. Additional work included Front-end Engineering Design (FEED), detail engineering through offshore commissioning and start-up. Our procurement department collaborated with BPZ Energy to procure and inspect all of the topsides equipment. Cimation, an Audubon Companies affiliate, handled automation and commissioning support of the topsides equipment and hull interfaces.

Delta House FPS Semi-Submersible Platform

Location: Gulf of Mexico (GOM), MC-254
Client: LLOG Exploration Co. LLC

Audubon Engineering Solutions’ scope of work for Delta House, an independent, semi-submersible floating production system (FPS), included multidisciplinary engineering design for the platform’s topsides. Our topsides drafting/design team utilized PDMS software to develop a complete production facility model. Our procurement department collaborated with LLOG Exploration Co. LLC’s purchasing staff to procure all of the topsides equipment.

Bayou Carlin

Location: St. Mary Parish, Louisiana
Client: McMoRan Oil & Gas LLC

The Audubon Field Solutions team performed project management, construction management, I&E inspection and paint inspection.  Scope of work also included cost tracking, writing PO’s, procurement of materials and vendor surveillance.  Our staff out-fitted a 195 x 35 barge with equipment to produce 50 mcfd. We oversaw installation on the 8″ pipeline with two underground bores: one at 4,800 and the other at 3,000. Total length of the line was 18,000 feet.

T14 Fractionation Plant

Location: Mount Belvieu, TX
Client: Targa Resources

Audubon provided detail design, engineering and procurement to assist Targa Resources with expanding the capacity of its Cedar Bayou Fractionators, L.P. natural gas liquid fractionation facility. The maximum gross fractionation capacity of the facility was expanded by 28% to 275,000 BDP, an increase of 60,000 BDP. Audubon achieved an increase of 88,000 BDP for the client, placing us ahead of schedule and budget.

Keota LNG Plant

Audubon provided the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for the Noble Energy Keota Gas & Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Plant in rural northern Weld County.  The project is one of the largest and most important facilities for Colorado with the first LNG plant in the state.  The facility includes condensate stabilization, inlet compression, amine treating, cryogenic natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery, product storage, residue compression, and an LNG facility.

Cove Point LNG Project

Location: Maryland

Audubon Engineering Solutions serves as Owner’s Engineer for the Dominion Cove Point LNG engineering and construction project on Chesapeake Bay. The liquefaction facilities will provide a bi-directional service of import and export of LNG at the Dominion Cove Point LNG Terminal. The proposed facility is designed to process an average of 750 million standard cubic feet per day of inlet feed gas. The facility is designed to generate additional power on site to meet the power demands of the liquefaction plant. The liquefaction facilities will connect with the existing facility and share common facilities such as the LNG tanks, pumps, piping and pier in order to import and export LNG.

Davy Jones I & II Central Process and Satellite Facilities

Client: McMoRan Oil and Gas

Audubon Engineering Solutions performed the Front-end Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, procurement, construction support, startup and commissioning for McMoRan’s greenfield central process and satellite facilities. Our staff provided the structural design of various project elements, including jackets, decks, flare booms and heliports. The scope of work also included process modeling, equipment sizing and design, electrical engineering, instrument design, high temperatures and pressures, high CO2 and H2S concentrations and associated amine treating. Audubon Engineering Solutions also collaborated with the well design team on process and interface issues.

Audubon Field Solutions provided services for the 4-pile and 8-pile jackets and decks of the facilities, including construction management, paint inspection I&E inspection, onsite cost tracking and material tracking, as well as HSE oversight. Additionally, the project team oversaw the 12″ pipeline installation and performed vendor surveillance in the fabrication shops where we handled the skid packages, vessels and ICP for the deck installation and reviewed all onshore and offshore welding procedures.

Cherokee Pipeline Replacement

Audubon Field Solutions provided survey, mapping, and right of way services to assist with the replacement of a 10″ pipeline from Glenpool, OK to Mt. Vernon, MO — a total of 272 miles. Our team played an integral role in supporting the Engineering Team during the Front-end loading (FEL) phase to final as-built documentation. Audubon Field Solutions was responsible for the preliminary survey, right-of-way assistance, routing, construction staking, construction alignment sheet preparation, as-built survey, and as-built alignment sheet documentation, as well as providing geographical information system (GIS) data to be loaded into the Pipeline Open Data (PODS) GIS database.
