Audubon Companies was founded in 1997 by engineers Ryan Hanemann, Bob Rosamond, and Denis Taylor. Starting out as a small office in New Orleans, Louisiana with less than five employees, the company quickly developed a reputation for providing unparalleled service to the oil & gas industry. By 2001, revenues had exceeded $1M, and employee head count reached 20. After expanding into various markets throughout different regions of the U.S., a second office was opened in Houston in 2005. By 2006, revenues exceeded $10M, and the company employed over 100 professionals.
In order to support this rapid growth and maintain a reputation for operational excellence, the founders developed five guiding principles that they call the “Five Diversities”:
- Active participation in the upstream, downstream and midstream markets
- Dynamic global presence
- Diversity in project service offerings to become a key partner to our clients
- Well-balanced and diversified client portfolio
- Preparation to meet customers on their terms
These guiding principles helped to fuel the company’s growth over the following years, and in 2007, a third office opened in Covington, Louisiana. That same year, affiliates Affinity Management Group and Petro Construction Management (now known as Audubon Field Solutions) were also formed. In 2008, the company had over 300 employees, and Cimation, an operations consulting affiliate, was established a year later. In 2012, Audubon Companies grew to over 1,000 employees and had offices in 10 locations, including Denver, Colorado and Bogota, Colombia.
Today, Audubon Companies is an industry-leading provider of EPCM services to the oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, and power generation markets. With 10 offices and over 1,000 employees, the company offers a full-range of engineering, consulting, and field services to an extensive portfolio of clients across the globe.
